Test af Brooks Caldera

Testtur om Hald Sø

 

Som jeg skrev på instagram, så har jeg fået et par nye trailsko. Skoen kommer i Runners Corner Viborg 19. januar.

Mærket er Brooks, og navnet er Caldera.
Tidligere i dag skulle jeg løbe en tur om Hald Sø i Dollerup bakker inkl. bakketræning. På de 15 km og 500 højdemeter kom jeg godt omkring de forskellige udfordringer der er ved trail.

Da jeg først tog skoen på føltes de bløde som smør, og var yderst behagelige at have på. Jeg frygtede ikke på komforten, men derimod på følingen af underlaget med den kraftige bund. Jeg startede ud med at løbe at løbe ind på en smal sti, som var “oversvømmet” og derfor var det en lang sti, som var iset helt til. Ikke nogen udfordring for skoen, som med sin profilerede mønster giver stor trækkraft på våde/glatte overflader og vanskelig terræn.

Anden udfordring var da jeg skulle løbe op og ned af trapper beklædt med sne. Første tur ned af trapperne blevet løbet forsigtigt, men jo mere tiltro jeg fik til skoens evner kunne jeg trykke lidt hårdere til på bakketræningen.
Resten af turen var primært på off-road, hvor jeg hele tiden havde en god føling med underlaget. Både på op- og nedløbene stod jeg godt fast på underlaget.

Jeg mangler kun at teste skoen på tørt underlag, men alligevel vil jeg gerne kort runde skoen, og give den karakter fra 1-10 på forskellige parametre.

Jeg kan samtidig med dette sige, at det er bekræftet fra løbsarrangør, at jeg kan løbe med på Ossola trail i Italien – mere om det senere. En ting er rimelig sikkert, og det er at Brooks Caldera bliver min løbesko til dette løb.
